Why You're here.
Let's talk about that.
Whatever brought you here today … that’s where we’ll start. Then we’ll figure out your next steps. This is 100% your time to get it all out. What’s been troubling you. What you want to change. What kind of life you want for yourself. Because you deserve to live an amazing life.
Plan for about an hour.
Most sessions last about an hour, give or take. Your clinician will ask questions. Listen. Reflect back. Dig a little deeper. They might teach you a new tool or technique for dealing with things when they come up. Or recommend reading or practices for you to explore. For seeing things clearer. Looking at them differently. Finding new ways forward.
But it’s not just all talk, no action. There’s a purpose here. Whatever you’re working through, your counselor will help you set goals and intentions for things to work on between sessions. The next time you meet, you’ll see what worked. What didn’t. Adjust the plan. Create a path forward.

give yourself some space.
Sometimes you’ll feel great right after therapy or nutrition counseling. All energized and excited about what’s to come. You’ll have new thoughts, ideas, and goals working for you. Other times, you’ll feel seriously drained. You might need a minute to recover. Consider. Figure things out. Because counseling goes deep. When you tap into something heavy, it might get uncomfortable. But this is the place for that. And weirdly, that can be a sign of progress. Of working This is where we work through the hard stuff to get to the good. To get to better. And that’s what you’re here for.
The important thing is to give yourself time and space to get to where you want to be. That’s the path you’ll plan with your counselor at the very beginning, then change or add to as you go. And how long you continue is totally your call. Some people stop when they get to a good place. Others come back when hard things come up. And some people feel best about just keeping it going. It all depends on you.
