I work great with...
- Clients who are excited to explore personal growth and work to make the important changes you want for your life
- People interested in combining somatic work with emotion and thought exploration
- Folks who are eager to face the stuff that's not working in your life in order to cultivate what you want most for your one precious life
- Clients who desire to face change with courage to search within themselves, engage with what they discover, and create the life you really want
- Clients who want to feel empowered to create lasting wellbeing for yourself
Style & Approach
I want to offer heart-felt listening to understand what you most want for yourself, then support you in developing that in accord with your values for you to flourish. Together we will explore your values. From there we will decide appropriate goals and steps to scaffold your progress toward your successful arrival where you want to be.
Your satisfaction with how you feel about yourself, your family, friends, and community are all considerations. Your spirit, emotions, physical health, and environment all contribute to your overall well-being and all deserve attention. We will address all of these facets for you to create your best, most satisfying life in which to flourish.
Our meetings will provide a place that is safe, non-judgemental, and accepting where you can be seen, heard, and respected. You will have person-centered support and care for the personal development you decide you want.
Some of the approaches I Use...
- Client-centered
- Mindful
- CBT & DBT (Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Theories)
- Solution-focused
- Relational
- Motivational Interviewing
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Fun Facts
Relaxing for me is all about calm, peaceful surroundings whether inside or out and long, deep breaths of clean air.
My favorite outdoor activities are gardening and cool, shaded walks.
I get way too excited about…animated films. I wanted to be an animator when I was a kid.
Self-care for me is meditation, cooking and sharing good food, gardening and sharing its bounties, watching movies, reading a good story.
I love learning about the human experience and what makes us all tick.
For me, creativity is in what I do with my home and garden, sometimes even in what I wear.
I feel calm and content when meditating, listening to natural sounds like rain and distant thunder or a stream running its course.
My favorite quote is, “Life is not measured by the number of moments you live but by the moments that take your breath away.”
